I have suspicion that in my particular case there is even flags on account. The solution did not match the issue and GM/CS personnel failed to understand an issue which is incredibly basic. The OP’s issue is that the quest didn’t complete when it should have, the GMs response was “Look at this on Wowhead”. Unfortunately many customer serving roles in every industry are filled with large numbers of apathetic people and this always results in wrong information being given. Maybe in your experience you got someone who was competent and knew the game well enough to understand what was going on. You could also say that Blizzard should be on top of their programming and making sure that quests complete the first time, no one wants to farm 10 rabbit’s feet more than once to complete 1 quest because that’s just annoying. I always do that when a quest doesn’t complete anyway and the OP did after he raised the ticket, he could have closed the ticket after in all fairness but that’s a different argument. This retake quest fix is most common fix players should try 1st before making tickets. To add to all of this, WoW is the only game that I’ve ever played where a quest can be complete but the game doesn’t want to acknowledge the completion meaning I’ve had to delete and redo it again.īut you see I have account based problem with phases and quests (can explain details later if someone likes to know) and I need to contact Gms quite often because of ‘stage complete’ failures and retaking quest doesnt help. It’s seriously poor customer service and Blizzard should be striving for better than cop outs that don’t resolve the issue. This clearly shows their lack of knowledge of the product in question (in this case WoW) and their inability to understand that the issue. I think they need to actually read complaints/reports better because the OP had an issue with a quest not completing as it should’ve and I’m sure it’s not the first time help wasn’t actually given when it was needed.Įven though the OP fixed it by deleting the quest and completing it again the GM/CS person or whoever should have seen that it the OP wasn’t asking for help on to complete the quest, it’s actually a massive cop out to ignore the actual issue and revert to linking a quest on Wowhead as a response. GMs, CS staff, anyone else who is a customer facing role to some extent, all the same when a player needs help.
